On August 17th, 2019, Engine Co. 3 as well as members of the department celebrated Honorary Chief Joe Tartaglia’s 50 Years of Service. Chief Tartaglia joined the ranks of Engine Company 1 on August 17, 1969. Chief Tartaglia would hold several positions in Engine 1 including Steward, Sergeant-at-Arms and Vice President.

Chief Tartaglia has joined a club that not many members reach, the 50 years of service club. He has become # 10 in active members in the department to attain 50 years of service.
